Summer Club Saver Scheme Launches in South Yorkshire
Mon 15 May 2017 16:31
A number of clubs from across the Sheffield & District league are taking part in an exciting pilot programme this summer to try and increase club membership. The Summer Club Saver scheme has recently launched and is giving families the opportunity to become short term club members for over the summer and if they enjoy the experience then convert them as on-going club members.
Seven clubs from the Sheffield & District are taking part in the initiative including Abbeydale, Beauchief, Brentwood, Doncaster, Ecclesall, Hallam Grange and Moorgate. Each club will offer a 6 week membership for all members of a family for a discounted price of between £30 and £40 and then provide a programme of activities for them to enjoy.
Each club will be organising a range of promotional activities including open days and school taster sessions. There will also be a digital marketing campaign and there is a dedicated website for people that are interested in taking up the 6 week membership. All the clubs will be using the LTA Clubspark software to allow people to book on to activities and sign us as club members.
The Summer Club Saver is aiming to attract 500 new members to the clubs that are taking part, with at least 100 retained as long term members. This is believed to be the first type of project where tennis clubs are working collaboratively on a joint marketing campaign and if it is successful it may be rolled out nationally next year.
